Henry Ruggs Charged With Deathly DUI
After a fatal crash, Alabama native Henry Ruggs charged with DUI. He was the driver who hit another car with a flaming Toyota, killing a woman inside the car. He was intoxicated at the time of the accident, and the victim’s dog was also killed in the wreck. He remained on the scene of the accident but showed signs of impairment and was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment. Although he is expected to recover, Henry Ruggs charged with DUI resulting in death.
Henry Ruggs has been charged with a felony DUI resulting in death after the crash. The crash occurred early Tuesday morning in the Spring Valley neighborhood of Las Vegas. The man driving the Corvette appeared to be impaired, according to video from the scene. His car slammed into the Toyota Rav4, trapping the woman inside. The driver and her passenger were injured.
Reckless Driving
Henry Ruggs has been charged with reckless driving resulting in death and DUI resulting in death. Police also say he had a loaded gun in his car and was driving with a high blood alcohol content. He was released on $150,000 bail and surrendered his passport. If convicted, Ruggs faces up to 46 years in prison.
Police say Ruggs drove at an excessive speed before the crash and then drove a higher speed after the crash. They believe that Ruggs was intoxicated when he hit the woman’s SUV. His blood-alcohol content was 0.16, which is twice the legal limit. The Raiders released Ruggs from jail on Wednesday after posting a $150,000 bond. He is now under house arrest.
House Arrest
